Following the great success of Wonderful Winds’ Flute Days! weekend in Devon last summer, we are delighted to be bringing the event to Yateley, Hampshire in September 2018.

Flute Days! presents a unique opportunity for players of all ages and abilities (adults and children) to get together for a day or two of fluting, using the extensive Wonderful Winds catalogue. The emphasis is very much on having fun with the flute and the events are designed to build confidence, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

All details including prices, bursary opportunities, timetables and application forms are also on the Wonderful Winds website here.  Discounted Early Bird booking is now open till 8th July, and regular price booking will close on 8th August. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended. 

Saturday 8th September, 10am - 6pm
Suitable for novice/intermediate players and rusty returners! (Approx. Grade 1-5)
Sunday 9th September, 10am - 5pm
Suitable for more confident/advanced players (Approx Grade 5-Diploma)
Intermediate players are welcome to attend both days, as are any advanced players who would like to support the novice players.

The event is coached by Mel Orris and Joss Campbell.  Joss and Mel have been leading flute choir workshops together across the country for many years, and their shared enthusiasm for all things ‘flute’ will guarantee a  lively weekend of music making.

Each day includes:

• Fun Warm-ups

• Breathing/sound workshop

• Introduction to the bigger flutes. 

• Massed flute choir

• Chamber music coaching

• Free informal concert 

As well as a Wonderful Winds pop-up shop, Just Flutes, Europe's biggest flute shop, will be in attendance, with a trade stand full of instruments, music, accessories and other goodies!
