Flutewise Inspire! with Gareth McLearnon 2

Flutewise Inspire are new Flutewise Club online events for 2022. They also only 30 minutes and are designed to inspire educate and entertain you and help you be a more successful and happier flute player.

These short online are open to everyone who loves playing the flute and are free to attend but you must be a Flutewise member (£10 per year to join). Whether you are just starting out playing the flute or you are a really accomplished player, you will gain a great deal from being involved.

During each session we will see and hear inspirational stories from famous flute players from all over the world. There will be a worksheet available after each session which will include examples of the music we’ve heard and links so you can listen and explore the ideas raised in your own time. We will also play an ensemble piece (everyone on mute) to a backing track.

Our first event will be with Gareth McLearnon, hosted by Liz Goodwin.

Please book early using the form below so I can send you the music.

This session will be a repeat of the event on 14 February at 6.00 pm. (You are welcome to join in with both)

Flutewise Winterval online

It’s our new tradition! We are holding a Flutewise Winterval event with Abbie Burrows on Wednesday 29 December 2021 between 3.00 and 5.00 pm.

We held a similar event last year and everyone who attended really enjoyed it. As life looks like it will be very restricted again I am sure you will welcome this one. We will be having a workshop with seasonal warm ups, a Christmas story, playalongs and more. It’s suitable for everyone who loves the flute. Book early to reserve your place.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in a Winterval Flutewise Challenge with prizes to win! Details soon.

Flutewise Christmas Cracker 3

Come and celebrate Christmas with Flutewise online. Everyone is welcome to come along to this 30 minute event where we will play some favourite Christmas carols arranged for us by Jerry Randalls (a huge thanks to Jerry) and we will also share some Christmas cracker jokes! We will play the carols on mute to a backing track, so there is no need to be shy.

I am offering 3 different days for this event, although the music will probably be the same for each one, the other content will probably be different. You are welcome to book for one, two or all of them. The other dates are Wednesday 15 December 6.00 pm and Monday 20 December 6.00 pm

Let’s get Christmas off to a great start!

Flutewise Club Online solo time

Would you like to perform a piece or enjoy listening as part of the audience? Saturday Flutewise Club Online meetings offer the opportunity for flute players to perform a piece they know well, making a mini concert. Of course you don’t have to play, being an audience member is equally important. Jerry Randalls will join Liz for this event and will make fabulous comments on the performances we hear.

Please complete the form below as soon as possible so there is time for you to receive the ensemble music that we will play together.

To take part in our online events you need to be a Flutewise member. You can join today

Flutewise Club online with Atarah Ben Tovim, MBE

Atarah.jpeg

New date!

How exciting is this!?  Atarah Ben Tovim has agreed to come and meet us all again at a Flutewise Club online event. The one she took part in in May 2020 was absolutely amazing. Atarah has been inspiring and motivating all flute players, especially the young, for many years and you really can’t miss this wonderful opportunity to meet her again.

As well as being able to ask her questions we will have 2 ensemble pieces, specially chosen by Atarah that I know you will enjoy playing.

You can find out about Atarah here

Please book your place as soon as possible so I can send you the music. Places are limited.
